Establsihed Theatrical Rock Band Seeks Drummer!
Established Theatrical Hard Rock Band Seeks Drummer:
Voodoo Screw Machine is currently putting the finishing touches on our 2nd album, and are looking for a dedicated drummer to join us for the next chapter. We are a 5-piece (2 guitars, bass, vocal and you) and have been playing in and around boston for more than 6 years. We are looking for someone who has experience, skills, a sense of humor, and is not intimidated by an act that leans to the theatrical side of performance. Makeup, costumes, props and actors are often used, and each show is different from the last. Once the new album is released we will discuss a performance schedule, but we generally only do shows on the weekends unless opening for a touring national act. We rehearse in Woburn once a week (more if ramping up for a series of shows).

In a nutshell; we are looking for a combination of Dave Lombardo, Neal Smith & Carl Palmer. If you think you are right for the gig, please send us an email with links to your playing, and a short introductory message including your contact information. We will be scheduling auditions beginning the 2nd week of August.
Auditions will consist of giving you a short list of songs to learn before your arrival, and then being shown a song or two on site. A few covers might be bounced around that you are already comfortable with. It is important that our Drummer can pick things up quickly, and be able to adapt to the occasional strange arrangement. The material is not extremely difficult, but the structure/form has been known to trip people up. Having a desire to contribute to the writing process is certainly welcome (and encouraged) as well.
There is a kit available for use in our rehearsal space, but we do require you to have your own gear and transportation.
Influences include but are not limited to:
Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, King Crimson, Yes, Randy era Ozzy, Megadeth, Slayer, Deep Purple, Mr. Bungle, Dio, Maiden etc. - You get the idea.
Feel free to look around the interwebs for a better idea of what we have been up to.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
